- 100% free — no account, no fees, no catch.
- Private — everything calculates in your browser. Your numbers never leave your device.
- Built for South Asian users — tola, masha, per-tola gold rates: the units you actually use.
- Nisab checked automatically — gold (87.48g) and silver (612.36g) standards built in.
How Zakat calculation works
Zakat is 2.5% of your net zakatable wealth — cash, savings, gold, silver, business stock, shares, and money owed to you, minus your debts — provided it meets the nisab threshold (the minimum amount) and has been held for one lunar year (hawl).
Our calculator walks you through it in four steps: enter today's gold and silver prices, add your assets, subtract your debts, and read your Zakat amount. Most people finish in under five minutes.
Frequently asked questions
Is this really free?
Yes. Both tools are free forever. If you'd like a downloadable Excel version with a bonus tola-gram converter sheet, it's available on our Etsy shop.
Is my financial data safe?
Yes — all calculations happen locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers or stored anywhere.
Which nisab should I use — gold or silver?
Most scholars recommend the silver nisab for mixed assets, as it's lower and means more people benefit. Our calculator uses the silver standard by default. For complex situations, please consult a qualified scholar.
How many grams are in one tola?
One tola equals 11.6638 grams (often rounded to 11.66g). Try our tola converter for instant conversions.
